Co-founder of PAN-PROJECTS Yuriko Yagi Selected as RIBA Rising Star Winner 2025

PAN-PROJECTS are delighted to announce that Yuriko Yagi, Co-founder of PAN-PROJECTS, has been selected as one of the winners of the RIBA Journal Rising Stars 2025. This recognition highlights the creativity, resilience and public engagement that characterise Yuriko’s work with PAN- PROJECTS. At a time when large-scale commissions are increasingly rare for early-career architects, PAN- PROJECTS illustrates an alternative path: beginning with smaller interventions, installations and mobile structures that still carry architectural ambition and social purpose. Our projects include pavilions, mobile structures and installations that engage communities, materials and places in inventive ways. Through these works, Yuriko explores how architecture can remain a public voice even when built on a modest scale. Yuriko comments: “I believe that architecture must speak to society and engage with how we live. Rather than waiting for big opportunities, I chose to start with what is possible — interventions that condense ideas into compact forms but resonate far beyond their scale.” The studio expresses its gratitude to the RIBA Journal team for this honour, and acknowledges the clients, collaborators and supporters who have contributed to this journey.
